Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday took disciplinary action against one of its prominent leaders, Daniyal Aziz, by issuing a show-cause notice for allegedly violating party rules.
The party contends that Aziz's remarks have not only breached internal regulations but also cast a shadow on the party's reputation.
In a press conference held on Saturday, Rana Sanaullah confirmed the issuance of the show-cause notice and highlighted the significance of adhering to party guidelines.
"Daniyal Aziz has been told to be cautious while giving such statements to the media," cautioned Sanaullah, emphasising the need for internal discipline within the party.
The notice directs Daniyal Aziz to submit his response within seven days, providing him an opportunity to clarify his position and address the allegations leveled against him. The PML-N leadership appears keen on resolving the matter internally and maintaining unity within its ranks
This development comes in the wake of Daniyal Aziz's controversial tweets on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and a statement made on a television channel.
