The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ruled against the admissibility of a petition seeking the removal of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar from office.
Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan heard the case and pronounced the reserved verdict.
The application was filed by local lawyer Muhammad Muqasit, in the petition contended that the appointment of the caretaker prime minister had lapsed in effectiveness after the completion of the mandated 90-day period.
Consequently, the petitioner urged the court to issue an order for the removal of the Caretaker Prime Minister from office.
The federal government, represented by its counsel, vehemently opposed the petition, requesting the court to declare it inadmissible.
Today, Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan upheld the government's stance, pronouncing the application as inadmissible and subsequently dismissing it.
