Peshawar's iconic Charsi Tikka is once again in the spotlight as its owner Nisar Khan colloquially known as 'Charsi,' finds himself behind bars on charges of inappropriate behavior.
This comes after a video of Nisar engaging in objectionable conduct went viral, prompting complaints from concerned citizens.
According to SSP City Tayyab Jan, the police acted swiftly in response to public outcry, initiating an investigation into the matter.
The viral video allegedly depicted Nisar behaving inappropriately, leading to the filing of a case against him by local residents. As a result, Nisar has been remanded in custody pending further legal proceedings.
This is not the first time Nisar Khan has faced legal trouble over his conduct. Previously arrested on September 21, he was involved in a video scandal with a foreign national, raising questions about his behavior towards tourists, particularly those from abroad.
The FIR filed this time cites complaints from locals, accusing Nisar of engaging in 'obscene acts' in the vicinity of his restaurant, often with foreign women.
Charsi Tikka, a culinary gem in Peshawar, has long been a magnet for tourists, drawing them from far and wide with its delectable offerings.
However, the recent incidents involving Nisar Khan have cast a shadow over the eatery's reputation and ignited discussions about the treatment of tourists in the city.
Social media discussions have previously revolved around allegations of non-consensual actions against Nisar, adding to the gravity of the situation.
