In a shocking revelation, two teachers from a local seminary have been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting and torturing at least 15 minor students.
The incident came to light when the father and uncle of one victim approached District Police Officer Retired Captain Wahid Mehmood during an open court session.
Upon receiving the complaint, the DPO and a police team immediately visited the seminary, where they personally interviewed the students.
The victims, aged between nine and twelve, revealed that they had been subjected to abuse for a duration of three to four weeks.
Doctors confirm signs of assault
Doctors at the District Headquarters Hospital conducted examinations on the victims, revealing that at least eight students showed signs of assault. The police have registered a case of "unnatural offences" against the accused teachers.
The accused, identified as Zeeshan and Anis, were apprehended in two separate raids conducted in Mianwali and Jatli. However, one of the suspects, Zeeshan, remains at large, while Anis is in police custody.
The founders of the seminary confirmed that they had received allegations of inappropriate conduct by one of the accused teachers, and an examination of CCTV footage substantiated the claims.
The implicated teacher was promptly expelled and subsequently arrested by the police.
