Former Pakistan cricketer Bazid Khan commended the efforts made by Australia captain Pat Cummins by putting up a circumspect knock and ensuring his side swept past South Africa in the second semi-final of the World Cup at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the renowned commentator underlined the resilience shown again by Pat Cummins by hanging there till the end and paving the way for his side to seal the final spot.
“Cummins makes a habit of being there at the end. Australia find a way into world events. Why do we even doubt it?" wrote Bazid.
The Australian captain had scored 29-ball 14 and went on to remain unbeaten along with Mitchell Starc, who also remained unconquered, scoring 38-ball 16.
