Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday lashed out at President Dr Arif Alvi.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Ms Aurangzeb said: "They want to see the atmosphere of economic, political, and constitutional crisis in the country".
She schooled the Pakisatan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership, saying, "They have neither authority nor political or moral justification for taking such a step. Peace and stability in the country cannot be tolerated by a terrorist sitting in jail."
She further accused the political opponents of being responsible for the current situation in the country, stating, "The enemies of people's progress, livelihood, and bread are responsible for today's situation."

Few days back, Ms Aurangzeb had said that Senior journalist Asjad Munir from Sargodha has undergone a successful heart operation , made possible through Pakistan's inaugural health card program for journalists.
In her latest Tweet on social networking website X, she expressed her gratitude, saying, "Alhamdulillah, senior journalist Asjad Munir from Sargodha has undergone a successful heart operation under the first health card program in the history of Pakistan for journalists of former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif."
The PML-N leader further said that Munir is the first beneficiary of this health card initiative, which has granted him access to state-of-the-art medical treatment at a private hospital, fully covered by the health card.
Ms Aurangzeb went on to say that this milestone marks a momentous occasion for her, signifying the realization of the objective to safeguard the health of artists and journalists through tangible actions.
She extended her congratulations to Asjad Munir and his family, wishing him a swift recovery and the ability to resume his journalistic duties.
