The Sindh Wildlife Department has invited bids for Markhor and Urial hunting. Permits for hunting the Markhor and the red wild sheep will be auctioned in Jamshoro for the 2023-24 trophy hunting season.
According to the Sindh Forest and Wildlife Department, bids for the auction have been invited from domestic and foreign hunters and registered tour operators.
For foreign hunters, 15 permits for the Sindh ibex will be issued at the rate of $6,000 each. To hunt the Urial, the foreigners will be issued five permits for $20,000 each.
The foreign hunters will be allowed to hunt in the government and private properties of Surjan, Sambok, Halalo, Pacharan, and they will also be able to export their hunting.
The Pakistani hunters will be issued five permits for Rs400,000 each for hunting the Markhor in Hathiano and Ari. The hunted animal will not be able to be exported.
A total of 25 hunting permits will be auctioned at the conservator's office on November 21.
