Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed uncertainty regarding the availability of Jude Bellingham for their upcoming Champions League match against Braga on Wednesday.
Bellingham suffered a shoulder injury over the weekend, casting doubt on his participation in the crucial fixture.
Real Madrid, following three consecutive victories, has the opportunity to secure a place in the knockout stages of the tournament with another win at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, they may have to cope without their top goal scorer. Despite the injury, Bellingham did partake in a portion of the team's training session on Tuesday.
England international Bellingham, who has been in prolific form with 13 goals in 14 matches across all competitions, sustained the shoulder problem during the 0-0 La Liga draw with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday. Notably, he played the entire match.
Ancelotti stated, "If he will play or not, I don't know. He's doing quite well; he's comfortable. He did not complete the whole training session to avoid knocks, but he's recovered well. He might play tomorrow; I will decide it tomorrow with him."
Bellingham's contributions have been vital in filling the void left by Karim Benzema, who departed the club in the summer. Brazilian duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have faced challenges in finding their best form.
Ancelotti also commented on Vinicius, highlighting that while he continues to make a positive impact, there is room for improvement in his attitude. He remarked, "Vinicius keeps making the difference. It might be that he has to improve his attitude in some circumstances, but I think that he's improved it a lot. We are very happy with what he's doing on the pitch; maybe he's been a little out of place in some moments, but his attitude has improved a lot compared to previous years."
On a separate note, Real Madrid announced that French midfielder Eduardo Camavinga extended his contract until 2029, following the contract extensions of Vinicius and Rodrygo last week.
