Bayern Munich's head coach, Thomas Tuchel, offered effusive praise for the "outstanding" striker Harry Kane in the lead-up to their Champions League match against Galatasaray.
Kane, 30, made the transition from his boyhood club, Tottenham, to Bayern Munich in the summer and has enjoyed a scintillating start in the Bavarian capital, netting an impressive 15 goals in his first 10 league games—an extraordinary feat that set a Bundesliga record.
Tuchel, who made Kane a central figure in his plans for the season, expressed his admiration, saying, "You can't rate him highly enough. It was a significant change for Harry to leave 'the island' (UK) and enter a new league for a fresh start." Tuchel had no doubts about Kane's ability to shine in Germany, given his remarkable track record in the "hardest league in the world for more than 10 years."
The coach was particularly impressed by how quickly Kane has adapted to his new surroundings. He pointed out Kane's remarkable personality, dedication, and love for the game, which have made his integration into the team seamless.
Kane's impact on Bayern's performance has been nothing short of remarkable. The team remains undefeated in the 11 games in which Kane has played, but they have suffered two losses in the three matches where Kane was not on the field.
Bayern Munich previously defeated Galatasaray 3-1 in Turkey, with Kane contributing a goal. As of now, the German champions sit at the top of their Champions League group, and a victory in the upcoming match would secure their qualification for the knockout rounds.
Despite his prolific start in Munich, Kane only made the move in August, and his family joined him later. As he continues to search for a permanent residence in the Munich area, the England captain is still residing in a hotel.
Harry Kane has already notched three hat-tricks in the league for Bayern, leading club veteran Thomas Mueller to humorously remark that the striker "would not have space in his hotel room" for all the match balls he's earned.
Tuchel, while acknowledging Kane's outstanding form, lightheartedly quipped about his inability to assist the striker in finding an apartment, saying, "He's got four kids and a few nannies. It's above my pay grade."
