The funeral prayers of Lt Col Muhammad Hassan Haider, who embraced martyrdom in the general area of Tirah Valley of Khyber District, was offered on Tuesday at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the armed force, the 42-year-old resident of DHA-2, Islamabad was buried with full military honour in the federal capital.
The prime minister, defence minister, the chairman joint chiefs of staff committee, the army chief and a large number of senior civil and military officers, soldiers, citizens and relatives of the martyred soldier attended the funeral prayers.
On the other hand, the funeral prayers of Naik Khushdil Khan (31, resident of Lakki Marwat district), Naik Rafique Khan (27, resident of Charsadda district) and Lance Naik Abdul Qadir (33, a resident of Murree district) were also offered in their respective hometowns.
The armed forces of Pakistan stand resolute and committed to eliminating the menace of terrorism from the motherland at all costs, the ISPR statement said.
