In a collaborative effort between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Department and the Pakistan Army, the 'Zalmi Mela' was successfully organized in Orakzai, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The festival, which took place in Orakzai, featured not only sports competitions but also cultural and traditional stalls, creating a vibrant and diverse atmosphere.
Various sporting events, including cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, track and field, stone lifting, truck pulling, rope climbing, wrestling, archery, and athletics, engaged both athletes and sports enthusiasts, adding excitement to the festival.
In addition to the sporting activities, the festival also provided regional dance performances for the entertainment of the attendees.
The Zalmi Mela saw a significant turnout, with youths, adults, and children participating, enriching the event with their enthusiasm and spirit.
The opening ceremony of the festival had the special presence of Commandant Orakzai Scouts, adding to the grandeur of the event.
The Zalmi Mela continued from November 3rd to November 5th, offering a three-day extravaganza of sports, culture, and entertainment.
