Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar-led caretaker government on Tuesday announced that the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) would remain unchanged at Rs283.38 and Rs303.18 per litre, respectively, for the next fortnight.
In a notification, the Finance Division stated that "the government of Pakistan has decided to maintain the current prices of petrol and diesel during the next fortnight".
It further said that the prices of light diesel oil (LDO) and kerosene oil were slashed by Rs3.40 and Rs3.82 per litre, respectively.

The notification further stated that the new prices will come into effect from 12am (midnight November 1) and remain in place till November 15.
On October 15, the interim government had announced a reduction of Rs40 per litre in the price of petrol and Rs15 per litre in that of high-speed diesel (HSD).
The new price for petrol and diesel was fixed to be Rs283.38 and Rs303.18 per litre, respectively.
