An earthquake, registering a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale, has struck northern central Iran.
The German Research Center for Geosciences reported the seismic event, which was recorded at a depth of 10 kilometres.
While the earthquake has undoubtedly caused alarm, there is currently no information on any reported casualties or damage.
