The number of dengue cases in Lahore is on a sharp rise, while another 99 cases of the fever were reported in Punjab in the last 24 hours.
Out of the total cases reported from Punjab in 24 hours, 59 were detected in Lahore.
This year, the number of cases of dengue fever reported in Punjab has risen to 1,883.
Moreover, Rawalpindi has reported 18 and Multan seven new cases of the disease.
According to the Punjab Health Department, there are 82 patients of dengue fever under treatment in all the hospitals of the province.
In the twin cities, an additional 40 cases of dengue fever have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The Rawalpindi health department says that 25 cases of the fever have been reported from the city in the last 24 hours. In the ongoing season, the total number of cases of the disease in Rawalpindi has reached 368 out of which nine are said to be in critical condition.
There are 63 patients under treatment in various hospitals of the city.
Over in the federal capital, 15 more cases of dengue were reported in the last 24 hours. Out of these, four cases were reported in the urban areas and 11 in rural areas.
The total number of dengue cases in Islamabad has risen to 234 this year.
Moreover, Karachi reported 11 new cases of dengue fever in the last 24 hours, according to the provincial health department. This year, the Sindh capital has reported a total of 864 cases of the fever.
