In a heartfelt display of solidarity, Pakistan's top leaders on Saturday expressed their grief and condolences to Morocco following a severe earthquake that has left a trail of destruction and loss of life in the North African nation.
The earthquake magnitude 6.8 which struck just after 11 p.m. local time, has left a trail of destruction in its wake, particularly in the remote mountain areas that were hard to reach, claiming the lives of at least 632 people and leaving more than 392 others injured.
President Alvi extends condolences and prayers
President Dr Arif Alvi expressed his deep sorrow over the losses caused by the earthquake in Morocco. He extended heartfelt condolences to the affected families and conveyed his solidarity with the people and government of Morocco.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar expressed his grief and sorrow over the damages caused by the earthquake in Morocco.
In an official statement, he extended condolences to Morocco and its people, emphasising Pakistan's steadfast support during this challenging period.
