National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said on Wednesday that the elections are the only solution for the country.
Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti called on the NA speaker in Islamabad. On this occasion, Ashraf underscored the importance of holding elections in the country. ‘’In a bid to seek economic and political stability in the country, there is a dire need to hold the polls immediately,’’ he added.
‘’The election schedule should be announced without any delay. It is the right of every political party to get the same environment to proceed with their electoral campaigns,’’ Ashraf maintained.
During the meeting, both Ashraf and Bugti went on to discuss the various matters in line with the country’s internal and law-and-order situations. The matters pertaining to the general elections and the country’s security were also highlighted.

The interim interior minister expressed his resolve to fulfil the government’s responsibility of providing security during the general elections.
Bugti vowed that the caretaker government would extend its full cooperation to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
– Election Campaign in KP –
On the other side, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is expected to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to speed up the election campaign.
Sources divulged on Wednesday that the former foreign minister is likely to touchdown KP during the second week of the next month (November) to mobilise the party for the general elections.
Bhutto-Zardari will continue to carry out political activities in the province for up to five days in the province, according to the sources.
The key political personalities from KP are likely to join the PPP ahead of the elections.
