Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Sherry Rehman on Wednesday urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to announce the date and schedule for the general elections.
Speaking to media in Islamabad, Sherry said, ‘’The delay in the elections is tantamount to not holding the polls. There is still uncertainty about the election's timing.''
The former climate minister was of the view that all political parties should have access to the level-playing field.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari is expected to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to speed up the election campaign.
Sources divulged on Wednesday that the former foreign minister is likely to touchdown KP during the second week of the next month (November) to mobilise the party for the general elections.
Bhutto-Zardari will continue to carry out political activities in the province for up to five days in the province, according to the sources.
The key political personalities from KP are likely to join the PPP ahead of the elections.

Earlier on Tuesday, Bhutto-Zardari convened meetings with the party leaders in Islamabad to deliberate on the current political landscape of the country.
The discussions primarily revolved around the overarching political scenario within Pakistan. In a notable development, Robina Shaheen Wattoo, a former member of the Assembly representing Okara, officially joined the ranks of the PPP. Her inclusion was warmly embraced by Bhutto-Zardari, marking an important addition to the party.
On the occasion, former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf were present.
The meeting delved into the intricate political dynamics of Punjab, with a particular focus on the situation in Okara.
