Despite undergoing cancer treatment, King Charles has shown an unwavering commitment to his royal duties, remaining "completely unfazed" by any obstacles that come his way, according to royal expert Russell Myers.
Earlier last month, His Majesty experienced an adverse reaction to his treatment, forcing him to spend several hours under observation.
However, palace aides reassured the public, stating that such reactions were "not uncommon with many medical treatments."
As a result, the King canceled a day and a half of engagements, including a planned visit to Birmingham on March 23.
Sources close to the monarch revealed that the brief break allowed the King to recover fully, with His Majesty spending time at his Highgrove estate in Gloucestershire.
"Italy was never in doubt," one source said, adding that the short respite enabled the King to regain his strength and resume his royal commitments.
Mr. Myers highlighted that, despite this setback, both King Charles and Queen Camilla are more excited than ever about their upcoming tour, with the King reportedly in great form and eager to continue his work.
