Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan gained the trust of Islamabad United in the forthcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) following showing stellar performance in the National T20 Cup.
According to details, the United had handed the contract of upcoming tenth edition of the domestic marquee tournament. The United had selected Farhan in the supplementary category.
Farhan will be the 20th player of the United squad.
Former New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson, who is the head coach of the United, said, "Players like Sahibzada Farhan can become part of the playing XI at any time."
Hesson praised the United management for rallying behind the domestic performers, saying, "The United have always provided opportunity to the talent of the domestic cricket."
Subsequently, Sahibzada Farhan had a golden run with the bat, amassing 605 runs with an average of 121.
Farhan expressed his gratitude to the United for including the batter in their squad.
"It is an honour to play for Islamabad United," Farhan maintained.
