The Sindh Education Department has introduced a new code of conduct for teachers in government schools, advising them on appropriate attire and professional behaviour.
According to the department’s notification, male teachers have been discouraged from wearing T-shirts and jeans, while female teachers have been advised to avoid loud makeup, jewellery, and high heels.
However, the department clarified that no specific dressing has been "banned", emphasizing that these guidelines should be considered recommendations, not strict orders.

Clarification from Sindh Education Department
Amid reports of a ban on teachers’ attire, the Sindh Education Department issued a clarification, stating:

The code of conduct is a set of guidelines, developed in consultation with teachers' organizations, lawyers, and civil society.

The education department emphasized that the code of conduct aims to promote discipline, professionalism, and a healthy learning environment in government schools.
