Four labourers shot dead in Kalat, while four policemen martyred in Noshki.
According to details, four labourers were shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Mangochar area of Kalat district, Balochistan, while working on a tube well project, authorities confirmed.
According to Mangochar Assistant Commissioner Ali Gul Imrani, armed men on motorcycles opened fire at the labourers in the Malangzai location and fled the scene. The deceased workers, all hailing from Sadiqabad, Punjab, have been identified as Munawar Hussain, Zeeshan, Dilawar Hussain, and M. Amin.
The labourers were engaged in drilling a tube well for a local landowner, Abdul Ghafoor Langove, when the attack took place. Upon receiving reports of the incident, Levies personnel reached the site, collected evidence, and launched an investigation into the motive behind the killings.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on workers in Kalat. He prayed for the victims, and expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He also stated that the nation stood in solidarity with the families of the victims during this difficult time.
PM Sharif called those who target innocent labourers "enemies of humanity". He also reaffirmed his commitment to eradicating terrorism, stating that the government will not rest until all forms of terrorism are eliminated from the country.
