Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan Friday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Shoukat Ali Laleka – former Provincial Minister of Punjab for Zakat and Ushr – and his wife.
Turning to X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Khan extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to bear the loss with equanimity.

Shoukat Ali Laleka and his wife tragically lost their life in a traffic accident while on their way to Islamabad.
As per reports, their vehicle was involved in a severe collision. The injured couple was promptly transported to a hospital in Lahore, where they received immediate medical attention. However, both succumbed to their injuries.
Shoukat Ali Laleka's funeral prayer was held in his ancestral village, Chak Ameer Laleka.
Shoukat Ali Laleka had a distinguished political career that spanned nearly a decade. He assumed office as the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Zakat and Ushr on September 13, 2018, serving diligently until April 2022.
Prior to his ministerial role, Shoukat Ali Laleka served as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from May 2013 to May 2018.
