In his first message soon after landing in Islamabad, former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he belongs to this soil, and thanked God as soon as he set sights on his homeland.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui, who was also aboard the special flight that brought Nawaz back to Pakistan, told the media that he has been asked to convey the former prime minister’s message.
Nawaz Sharif thanked God on looking at his homeland. He said he belonged to this soil.
“We will also repay the debts of this soil that we did not even owe,” he stressed.
Earlier today, Nawaz Sharif's flight landed in Pakistan, as the PML-N leader returned to the country after four years. He is set to address a party rally in Lahore's Minar-e-Pakistan in the evening today.
