The United States (US) and Pakistan engaged in discussions on enhancing their bilateral trade relations and strengthening cooperation during a meeting between US Ambassador Donald Blome and Federal Minister for Commerce, Industries and Production, Dr. Gohar Ejaz, at the Ministry of Commerce.
A significant aspect of their meeting involved exploring opportunities to boost trade across various sectors, including textiles, value-added food products, fresh mangoes and dates, soybeans, and beef.
Minister Dr. Gohar Ejaz highlighted the establishment of a Special Investment Facilitation Council by the Government of Pakistan, aimed at attracting investments in sectors such as mining, agriculture, information technology, and energy. He extended an invitation to US companies to explore investment opportunities in these areas.
The Minister also elaborated on the government's efforts to revitalize the economy, with the Ambassador emphasizing the vital role of economic growth in Pakistan's future. Ambassador Blome expressed appreciation for the continued support from the US government.
