After reaching an all-time high rate close to Rs300,000 per tola, the price of gold in Pakistan saw a decline on Thursday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs900, settling at the highest ever Rs298,700, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold decreased by Rs772, taking it to Rs256,087.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a fall of $9 on Thursday, reaching $2,859 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also decreased by Rs23, reaching Rs3,327 per tola.
