Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Sunday that Pinky-Gogi and the captain had colluded to plunder Pakistan’s wealth, leaving the nation in economic turmoil.
Addressing party workers in his constituency, Tarar expressed confidence in the country’s economic future. “Pakistan’s economy will emerge as one of the best in the world,” he asserted.
The minister vowed to undertake every necessary measure for the welfare and prosperity of the region. “Whatever needs to be done for the progress of this area, we shall do it,” he pledged.
Denouncing past rulers, Tarar accused them of prioritising personal interests over national welfare. “They never cared for the country. These are the same people who dishonoured the martyrs,” he remarked. “We, on the other hand, are those who revere the sacrifices of our martyrs.”
Tarar stressed the significance of national integrity, stating, “If Pakistan exists, then politics and political parties exist.” He underscored the government’s commitment to advocating for Pakistan at the international level, saying, “We fight Pakistan’s case even on global platforms.”
The minister commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for establishing new benchmarks of transparency. “The prime minister is setting new records of transparency,” he observed. He urged collective efforts for economic stability, declaring, “We must all unite to strengthen Pakistan and its economy.”
Lamenting the selfishness of political adversaries, Tarar stated, “They value their politics and personal gains more than the country.” He reiterated his condemnation of the past leadership, adding, “One leader used to sell state gifts and loot the treasury.”
Referring to the 190-million-pound corruption case, the minister remarked, “They have been exposed in the £190 million heist.” He accused the former rulers of theft, saying, “One man not only sold luxury watches but also orchestrated financial heists.”
Tarar credited Shehbaz Sharif with restoring fiscal discipline. “Unlike them, Shehbaz Sharif even deposited his friends’ gifts in the state treasury,” he noted. “He introduced regulations for handling Toshakhana assets, while the previous leader stole watches.”
The minister reaffirmed his long-standing stance against corruption. “We always said their hands were stained with corruption,” he insisted. Urging political opponents to separate religion from their wrongdoings, he implored, “For God’s sake, do not mix robbery with religion.”
Highlighting Pakistan’s economic progress, Tarar stated, “The economy is advancing, and exports are increasing.” He credited Shehbaz Sharif for steering the nation away from economic collapse. “He saved the country from default and set it on the path of development,” he said.
The minister praised the developmental policies of Nawaz Sharif. “Nawaz Sharif’s politics is one of progress and prosperity,” he observed. He expressed confidence in Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, stating, “Shehbaz Sharif is leading the country towards economic growth.”
Tarar maintained: “The economy is stabilising, and interest rates are declining.”
