The price of gold in Pakistan saw a massive increase on Wednesday, reflecting global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola hiked by Rs2,300, settling at the highest ever Rs288,700, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,972, taking it to Rs247,513.

In the international market also, the price of gold saw a rise of $22 on Wednesday, reaching $2,763 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of silver in the local market hiked by Rs28 to reach Rs3,391 per tola.
