Baidu, tech giant from China, has just unveiled its latest artificial intelligence model called Ernie 4.0.
This new AI is like a super-smart computer that can do things, and it's being compared to ChatGPT, AI created by OpenAI.
The big boss of Baidu, Robin Li, introduced Ernie 4.0 at a special event in Beijing.
He talked about how this AI has an excellent memory and even showed it writing a martial arts story in real-time.
Ernie 4.0 can do more than just write stories. It can also create posters and videos for advertisements.
Baidu is a big deal in China when it comes to AI, and they're in the spotlight because of ChatGPT's popularity.
They even made a talking robot called ErnieBot powered by Ernie. However, some people were a bit sad because they only got to see pre-recorded demos of it.
In August, the Chinese government said it's okay for Baidu and other companies to share their AI products with the public.
China now has lots of these super smart language models, even more than many other countries.
In fact, they have about 130 of them! That's almost like having 130 super-genius computers that can talk and write just like people.
The United States has 50 of these super-genius computers.
