Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal expressed on Sunday his resolve to strengthen the economy of the country.
Addressing an event in Narowal, Iqbal said: "The country has witnessed peace after the end of terrorism. We showed the world how to end the menace of terrorism in four years."
"We ended the power outages in the country by rolling out projects generating 11,000 megawatts of electricity," Iqbal said.
"Whenever the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came to power, development projects started in every nook and cranny of the country," said Iqbal.
"The people used to say that we were showing them dreams like Sheikh Chilli, as ending loadshedding in the country in a very short time was not easy," he added.
"Nobody was ready to do business in the country. At that time, our leader Nawaz Sharif promised to end power outages in the country," said Iqbal.
