West Indies have set Pakistan a challenging target of 254 runs to win the second Test at Multan after being bowled out for 244 in their second innings.
Sajid Khan and Noman Ali starred with the ball, claiming four wickets each to restrict the visitors’ progress.
Pakistan, having scored 154 in their first innings, now trail by 253 runs with just over a day remaining. West Indies’ tail-end resistance came from Jomel Warrican, who contributed 18 runs before being dismissed by Sajid Khan. Warrican's dismissal saw the West Indies' innings conclude at 244/10 in 66.1 overs.
The Pakistani bowlers, particularly Sajid Khan (4/76) and Noman Ali (4/80), managed to keep the pressure on the West Indies throughout the innings, with the final breakthrough coming through Warrican’s dismissal, caught by Babar Azam.
With 254 runs to chase, Pakistan's batsmen will need to dig deep to secure a series-levelling victory on Day 3 of the Test match.
