Foreign Office spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan rejected allegations that Pakistan was providing shelter to ISIS during a weekly news briefing.
He emphasized that Pakistan's stance on its "One China" policy remains clear and unchanged, adding that the country is eager to join the BRICS group.
Khan also reiterated Pakistan's commitment to supporting peace in Syria, stating that Pakistan’s position on the matter is transparent and that the country is closely monitoring the situation.
Regarding the representation of Pakistan at President Trump's inauguration, Khan clarified that Pakistan's ambassador to the U.S. had represented the country, as has been the practice in previous inaugurations.
On the Kashmir issue, Khan welcomed any efforts toward resolution and expressed concern over the dire humanitarian situation in Indian-occupied Kashmir. He also noted that the Pakistani embassy remains actively engaged in efforts to facilitate the return of prisoners from India, continuously working toward resolving the issue.
In response to a question about the potential deportation of businessman Malik Riaz from Dubai, Khan said he would provide more details after gathering further information.
