U.S. President Donald Trump announced the dismissal of four senior government officials in a bold move early Tuesday, signaling a sweeping overhaul of the federal workforce.
The announcement was made through his first post on Truth Social after returning to the White House, reiniting his "Make America Great Again" agenda.
"My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again," Trump stated.
Among the first to be dismissed were Jose Andres, member of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley, advisor on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook, fellow at the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms, member of the President's Export Council.
The announcement ended with the phrase "YOU'RE FIRED!"—a nod to Trump's iconic catchphrase from his reality TV days on "The Apprentice."
The move comes as Trump doubles down on campaign promises to streamline government operations and eliminate positions he deems inefficient or misaligned with his administration's objectives. The President hinted at more changes, stating that over 1,000 additional appointees are under review for dismissal.
