The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared that a jail trial in the cipher case is in favour of PTI Chairman Imran Khan keeping in view security concerns.
Hearing a petition of the PTI chief against his jail trial in the cipher case, the court also said that if there were reservations, the trial court could be approached.
IHC Chief Justice Aamir Farooq pronounced a reserved decision and disposed of the petition against the jail trial with directions.
According to the decision, apparently no malice could be observed in the matter of the jail trial. The PTI chairman has himself expressed concerns about his security several times.
A jail trial is in favour of Imran Khan in terms of security. The Islamabad High Court declared that the PTI chairman can approach the trial court if he has reservations about the jail trial.
