Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday stressed the need for meticulous arrangements to facilitate pilgrims during Hajj 2025, asserting that no negligence in the process would be tolerated.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on the preparations for the upcoming Hajj season, the premier directed that a comprehensive briefing be presented in the coming days, outlining the procedure for selecting Hajj assistants, their responsibilities, and other necessary arrangements.
The meeting, attended by Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and senior officials, reviewed progress on the Hajj Fund, with officials informing the PM that the initiative was in its final stages.
Additionally, it was revealed that like last year, pilgrims would receive SIM cards and have access to the Hajj mobile application to enhance their experience.
PM Shehbaz reiterated his commitment to providing the "best training facilities" for pilgrims and instructed that competent officers with impeccable reputations be deployed for Hajj duties.
"Pilgrims are the guests of Allah, and no negligence in serving them will be acceptable," he remarked.
Mr Sharif stressed the importance of ensuring high standards in accommodation, transportation, and other facilities for pilgrims.
He also underlined the necessity of maintaining transparency and merit in the selection process of Hajj assistants.
The premier urged officials to expedite preparations and ensure the smooth execution of all arrangements.
He stated that the government would take all possible measures to ensure a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching experience for pilgrims.
