The renovation work at the National Bank Stadium is progressing rapidly, with the project set to be fully completed by January 31.
The construction began on October 22, and while some tasks remain, significant progress has been made.
Bilal Chauhan, the Project Director, briefed that digital screens will be installed in front of the enclosures where Wasim Akram and Intikhab Alam are seated. The screens will be positioned in a way that ensures no inconvenience for the spectators. Additionally, the perimeter fencing will be removed after the Champions Trophy and PSL 10 events in accordance with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi's directives.
To enhance the experience, the stadium's capacity will be increased to 30,000, with over 40 hospitality boxes already prepared.
A pedestrian bridge is also being constructed to improve access, allowing fans to park in the nearby China Ground and walk directly into the stadium.
Work on the floodlight tower framework is also progressing daily.
