The much-anticipated second season of ‘Paatal Lok’ is finally here.
After a three-year wait, the gripping crime thriller will return to Amazon Prime Video on January 17, 2025. The first season captivated audiences with its intricate plot and standout performances, especially from Jaideep Ahlawat as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary.

What to expect from season 2
Set against the rugged landscape of Nagaland, the new season follows Hathiram as he investigates the murder of a political leader, leading him into a web of drug syndicates and migrant worker disappearances.
The show will also explore the strained relationship between Hathiram and his former junior, Imran Ansari (played by Ishwak Singh), now a high-ranking officer.
Jaideep Ahlawat shared that Hathiram's journey in the new season is darker and more complex. “It’s a role that is very close to me. Returning to it feels like going back home,” he said.
New faces in the cast
Alongside Ahlawat, the season will feature Tillotama Shome in a key role, with Ishwak Singh, Gul Panag, and Nagesh Kukunoor returning in pivotal roles.
‘Paatal Lok’ season 2, produced by Sudip Sharma and directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware, promises a thrilling continuation of Hathiram’s journey, uncovering deep-rooted corruption and facing moral dilemmas.
