The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) approved interim bail for Bushra Bibi, the wife of the PTI chairman, in 13 cases related to the D-Chowk protest on November 26. Judge Tahir Abbas Supra granted the bail against surety bonds worth Rs. 5,000 each and directed the police to present all relevant records by February 7.
Bushra Bibi was also granted interim bail in the Rangers' accident case until February 7. During the hearing, Judge Tahir Abbas Supra expressed displeasure over the behavior of the defense counsel on two occasions. Addressing the lawyers, he remarked, "You demand VIP protocol everywhere, but this is not possible. Prepare your files properly before coming to court."
Bushra Bibi is facing multiple charges in various police stations, including three cases at the Secretariat Police Station, two cases each at Margalla, Karachi Company, and Ramna Police Stations and one case each at Tarnol, Kohsar, Aabpara, and Khanna Police Stations
The judge also took issue with the defense team's actions, reprimanding them for asking Bushra Bibi to sign and thumbprint blank papers. He instructed, "The accused must sign and thumbprint the court orders, not blank sheets."
Bushra Bibi also visited the Islamabad High Court for biometric verification in connection with her acquittal request in the Toshakhana-II case. The acquittal applications of both the PTI chairman and Bushra Bibi were filed on Monday. She left immediately after completing the biometric process.
The proceedings related to these cases continue, with the next hearing scheduled for February 7.
