Legendary Pakistani film producer Sarwar Bhatti, known for producing the 1979 blockbuster Maula Jatt, has passed away.
His daughter confirmed the tragic news on social media, announcing his death with a heartfelt message.
"It is with a heavy heart I share the extremely sad news that my beloved father Muhammad Sarwar Bhatti, famous film producer of Pakistani Maula Jatt fame, passed away a while ago," she wrote in her post. She also asked for prayers for her father and family during this difficult time.
Reports suggest that Bhatti suffered a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital after experiencing breathing difficulties late at night. Despite medical efforts, he could not be saved and passed away.
The funeral prayers for Bhatti will take place after the Isha prayer at Data Darbar in Lahore, as confirmed by his family.
The news of his passing has sent shockwaves through the film industry, with both relatives and industry colleagues expressing their grief and paying tribute to his immense contribution to Pakistani cinema.
