Acting Afghan Interior Minister and Afghan Taliban top leader Sirajuddin Haqqani urged the United Nations and international organizations to de-escalate the ongoing tension in Gaza.
Expressing deep concern over the ongoing atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinian population, Haqqani emphasised that Afghanistan did not seek to interfere in internal affairs but could not remain silent in the face of such injustice and aggression.
"We do not intend to interfere in anyone's internal affairs, but we are saddened by Israel's atrocities against Palestinians. We call on the United Nations and international organizations to end this injustice and aggression," Haqqani stated.
The minister highlighted the suffering and expressed disappointment at the global Muslim community's relative silence.
"The oppression and violence that Israel is perpetrating in Yat Maqdis, and the silence of Muslims in these situations, deeply saddens us," he said. Haqqani further underlined the Afghan people's revolutionary spirit and their strong religious convictions, which compels them to stand against such injustices.

"ہم کسی کے اندرونی معاملات میں مداخلت کا ارادہ نہیں رکھتے لیکن ہم فلسطینیوں کے خلاف اسرائیل کے مظالم سے دکھی ہیں۔ ہم اقوام متحدہ اور بین الاقوامی اداروں سے اس ناانصافی اور جارحیت کو ختم کرنے کا مطالبہ کرتے ہیں"۔ pic.twitter.com/jitKlGqh0N
While emphasising that Afghanistan respected the sovereignty of other nations, Haqqani assured the international community of the Islamic Emirate's commitment to supporting fellow Muslims. "We do not favor interfering in anyone's internal affairs, but we have a steadfast commitment to supporting our fellow Muslims.
The Islamic Emirate has called upon international organizations, including the United Nations, to ensure that such abuses and encroachments do not occur against Muslims," he continued. "We strongly condemn the violence against Muslims; it is not tolerable."
Concluding his address, Acting Interior Minister Haqqani offered a prayer for Muslims facing difficulties around the world, saying, "We pray to Allah to help Muslims wherever they are in trouble."
