King Charles III is reportedly considering involving Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie in official royal duties, according to royal commentators.
The daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, who have largely remained on the periphery of royal affairs in recent years, may soon play a more active role under the King’s evolving strategy.
Royal commentator Ephraim Hardcastle disclosed to The Daily Mail that the King’s decision comes as part of a broader plan to streamline and modernize the royal family while ensuring its enduring public relevance.
The announcement has rekindled discussions surrounding past controversies, including a 2013 incident involving Princess Beatrice at a trade event in Berlin.
A senior official had then dismissed the princesses as "a laughing stock" and suggested their withdrawal from royal life, urging them to “marry millionaires” instead.
Despite such criticisms, both Beatrice and Eugenie have maintained a presence in the public eye, frequently appearing alongside their mother, the Duchess of York.
In recent years, Princess Beatrice, in particular, has taken on more formal responsibilities within the royal family, hinting at a gradual re-entry into royal engagements.
This potential inclusion also raises questions about their association with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
Royal expert Jennie Bond noted that the sisters might lend their support to Markle’s upcoming television project, adding that while senior royals are unlikely to watch the show, “Eugenie and Beatrice might tune in.”
