The Ministry of Religious Affairs has reached an agreement with private Hajj tour operators, granting them permission to begin Hajj bookings.
Private Hajj tour operators are now allowed to accept bookings until January 31. However, for Hajj packages worth over 30 lakh rupees, approval from the Hajj Formulation Committee is mandatory. The Ministry’s spokesperson clarified that those offering Hajj packages costing over 30 lakh rupees must also provide their FBR data.
The new policy aims to streamline the Hajj process and ensure transparency while also accommodating the growing demand for private Hajj services.
Hajj application process for limited quota begins today
The collection of Hajj applications for the limited quota has started today. Applications are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Designated banks across the country are collecting applications on a daily basis. Applicants are required to submit the first two installments, totaling Rs6000,000, along with their application.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, additional costs for services like Qurbani or separate rooms will be charged separately.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that a total of 5,000 pilgrims will be able to perform Hajj under the Government Hajj Scheme. Once this number is reached, the acceptance of applications will be immediately halted.
This year, the application process has begun, and those interested are encouraged to submit their forms promptly due to the limited quota.
