Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has officially launched a fundraising campaign to address its ongoing financial crisis.
According to a letter issued to members of the National and Provincial Assemblies as well as ticket holders, the party has outlined a mandatory annual contribution of Rs240,000 from each individual.
The letter, which carries the signatures of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Secretary General Asad Umar, and Additional Secretary General Aamer Mehmood Kiani, specifies that the Rs240,000 will be collected in two installments: Rs 120,000 to be deposited every six months starting from January 2025.
PTI’s leadership has urged its parliamentarians and ticket holders to comply with the directive by depositing the funds in installments.
The move comes in the wake of severe financial strain that the party has been grappling with in recent months, with mounting costs and limited financial resources to support its operations.
The letter stresses the importance of timely contributions, underlining that the funds are necessary to sustain the party’s activities, including election campaigns, organizational work, and administrative functions.
