Both Flower and Rehman played a vital role in the growth of the Sultans, considering they were new to the PSL circuit when they made their debut in 2018. It was in 2021 that the Sultans lifted the PSL trophy under Rehman and Flower.
Rehman, who is also the current assistant coach of Pakistan's men's cricket team, felt honoured to be appointed as the head coach of the Sultans.
"It is a moment of pride for me to get appointed as the Multan Sultans’ head coach. The Sultans are like family to me," Rehman added.
