The Met Department has issued a weather forecast predicting rain and snowfall across multiple regions tonight, with fog expected to blanket the plains.
According to the department, northern Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, along with nearby areas, are expected to experience rain, and snowfall in the mountain areas. The Potohar region, including Islamabad, is also likely to see rain, while snowfall is anticipated in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas.
The plains of Punjab and upper Sindh will be affected by moderate to heavy fog, which will reduce visibility during the night.
Temperature updates show Gupis, located in Gilgit-Baltistan, recorded a low of -6 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures reached 27°C in Karachi, 23°C in Islamabad, 18°C in Lahore, 16°C in Peshawar, and 6°C in Quetta.
The Environmental Protection Agency has also issued an air quality warning for Islamabad, with the air quality index reaching 219, which is considered harmful to health.
