Punjab senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had refused the offer of becoming the country's prime minister thrice.
Hitting out at Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) Chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Aurangzeb said: "It is unexpected that seasoned politician like Mahmood Khan Achakzai has given such a statement."
"Mahmood Khan Achakzai is a witness that Shehbaz Sharif has always refused to decieve Nawaz Sharif," said Aurangzeb.
She maintained, "Shehbaz Sharif has always stood by his brother [Nawaz Sharif] in every hardship. He [Shehbaz Sharif] has always faced jail along with Nawaz Sharif."
"Shehbaz Sharif is the only example who always prioritised extending loyalty towards his brother instead of thinking about the post of the prime minister," she added.
