Punjab has continued crackdown against the usage of the plastic bags across the province.
According to details, Punjab senior minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said: "The implementation on the crackdown has been continued on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz."
"The play area has been formed from the plastic at the Lahore's Model Bazaar. The plastic chairs had been installed at the schools, where there were no chairs," said Aurangzeb.
She maintained, "The sewer covers will be made from plastic."
According to the environmental department, 1754 kg of the plastic bags had been seized in Rawalpindi.
Last year in April, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz-led Punjab government announced a comprehensive ban on the use of plastic bags across the province.
This significant step was unveiled following a high-level meeting chaired by Aurangzeb.
