A tragic plane crash on Thursday, January 2, 2025, resulted in two fatalities and left 18 people injured when a small aircraft crashed into a furniture manufacturing warehouse in Southern California.
The crash occurred in the 2300 block of Raymer Ave, approximately 6 miles northwest of Disneyland. The plane, a Van’s RV-10, was on its way back to the airport when it struck the building, causing a fire.
Two fatalities were reported. Ten individuals were transported to nearby hospitals, while eight others were treated on-site.
The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed yet, nor whether they were inside the aircraft or on the ground.
The aircraft took off at 2:07 p.m. and crashed about two minutes later, located roughly 300 yards from the airport runway. Firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze as smoke billowed from the warehouse. Nearby businesses were evacuated.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
