Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gillani urged the youth on Thursday to play the role in the country's uplift.
'Expressing his thoughts, Gillani asked the country's youth to follow on the footsteps of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. "We will have to focus in uplifting the field of IT and technology," he said.
He admitted the environmental challenges was one of the biggest challenges faced by the country.
Gillani lavished his praise on Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, saying, "Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had ended the sense of deprivation from the provinces."
Separately, last month in December, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Shazia Atta Marri lamented on Wednesday the slow internet speed in Pakistan.
Expressing her thoughts during the National Assembly session in Islamabad, Marri said, "The internet services have been shut down in the country, but Digital Nation Pakistan Bill is being introduced in the country."
"It makes me laugh that we are bringing the Digital Nation Pakistan Bill despite the internet outages," she rued.
"It's been while that we have been listening about firewalls. Even now we are not capable of talking about e-commerce," Marri maintained.
