As the cold weather sets in, complaints about gas outages and low pressure have surged in various areas of Lahore.
Residents in densely populated and remote regions have expressed frustration over unannounced gas shutdowns, causing widespread inconvenience.
According to Rashid Inayat, General Manager of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) Lahore Region, the gas supply this year is significantly better than last year. He stated that 90% of areas have not experienced any complaints regarding gas outages, with only 10% of cases attributed to maintenance work and the use of compressors.
Inayat further explained that due to improved gas supply this year, the usage of compressors has decreased, leading to fewer disruptions. As a result, only 17 connections have been temporarily disconnected due to compressor usage so far.
