The Pakistani government signed on Tuesday the $200million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in a bid to uplift the power sector.
According to details, it had been reported that Pakistan will get $200million in accordance with the negotiation. On the behalf of Pakistan, Ministry of Economic Affairs Secretary had, while from the ADB, the deputy country director had signed the agreement.
The economic affairs secretary spokesperson said: “The ADB will provide Pakistan $200million in line with the agreement.”
It had been said that the amount given by the ADB, will be used for the uplift of the power sector. The three of the power distribution companies will get the benefit from the agreement.
Moreover, the economic affairs secretary spokesperson said, “With this agreement, the LESCO, Mepco, and SEPCO will be from the given amount.”
